About Wireless PittNet
In July 2006, Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD) began implementing a new campus-wide wireless service for use by University of Pittsburgh students, faculty, and staff. This new service, known as Wireless PittNet, provides secure and easy-to-use wireless access to the University’s network
We've done our homework
Wireless PittNet was designed from the outset to be robust, expandable, and adaptable. It uses state-of-the-art technology, and is built on the strength of our wired network, PittNet.
Wireless PittNet is supported as a full production service for the University community, meaning it will boast the same tremendous reliability and dependability as our wired network.
We're here for the long run
We’ve worked hard to build Wireless PittNet, and will continue to expand coverage areas, making your wireless experience at the University of Pittsburgh world-class — for the long run.
